Hi, I’m Alyssa Cook, the photographer behind Soul Sisters Photography. I am mother of four, and a survivor. My children and I have overcome the darkness of domestic violence and it’s that journey that fuels my passion for capturing light, love, and strength through every photo.

Behind every photo session there’s a creative heartbeat you might not see: my business partner, Kaila Batts, the woman behind the scenes of it all. The website creator, the social media manager, the photo shoot set ups, tear downs, etc… She’s the one who keeps everything running seamlessly behind the scenes, from managing schedules to ensuring every detail is picture-perfect. She’s the glue that holds this dream together and the reason our clients always feel seen, supported, and valued.

Every session is approached with empathy, creativity, and a deep appreciation for resilience and connection. I believe every image tells a story: one of strength, growth, and love.

As part of my commitment to giving back, 7% of all photo purchases are donated back to Safehome, a local domestic violence shelter providing safety, support, and hope for families in need. (7 is the number I picked as it takes 7 times on average to leave an abusive situation).

Through my work, I aim to remind others that beauty can rise from even the hardest chapters. Every story deserves to be seen.
